The simple 1/3rd, 2/3rd approach to the short game ONLY with Herbies One Putt Wedge!

how do i get out of the sand
Basic fundamentals
Swing the One Putt Wedge straight back and straight through, and be sure to strike down and thru the ball, unlike a chipper. It is easy to get the ball close to the hole when you have a target to aim for. Herbie will do the rest. The pendulum stroke applies to all of the short game golf shots.
chip shot
Bump and Run chip shot- 1/3 2/3rd
When you have a lot of green to work with, play a low running chip shot with the ball positioned to the back of your stance. Aim 1/3 of the way to the hole and the ball will roll the remaing 2/3rds.The putting wedge keeps the chip shot on the putting line.
pitch shot
Pitch shot – 1/2 1/2
When you want more loft and less roll, position the golf ball in the center of stance. Aim 1/2 of the way to the hole and the ball will roll the remaining 1/2 of the distance. The pitch shot will spin and check quicker than the chip shot.
lob shot
Lob Shot – 2/3 1/3
When you want optimum loft to hit the ball over an obstacle, position the golf ball more forward in your stance. Aim 2/3 of the way to the hole and the ball will roll the remaining 1/3.The difficult lob shot is made easier with Herbie’s One Putt putting wedge.
sand shots
Trouble getting out of the sand trap
With the ball placement forward in your stance, hit well behind the ball (2 to 4 inches). No need to be overly precise. This short game technique works for the shot from the deep rough as well.
